Nipun Roy Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi politician, lawyer, and human rights, activist. Nipun was born in Magura District on 29 October 1987. Her father, Nitai Roy Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi politician and former Minister. Nipun attended Viqarunnisa Noon School and College for her secondary education and higher secondary education. She completed her graduation in Law from Stamford University Bangladesh and LLM degrees from Norther University Bangladesh.
Nipun always aspired to get into Bangladesh’s politics and drew inspiration from his father Nitai Roy Chowdhury and father in law Gayeshwar Chandra Roy. Her father Nitai Roy Chowdhury is a renowned Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court, former Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister. Nipun’s father in law Gayeshwar Chandra Roy is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) politician and former State minister who is currently serving as a standing committee (the highest policy-making forum) member of the party.
Nipun is the Member of Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). She is the founding Member Secretary of Women and Children Rights Forum (WCRF) based in Bangladesh. She was enrolled as an Advocate in Bangladesh in 2015. She is the Managing partner of Chowdhury & Associates Law Chamber based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As an advocate, she worked in the legal profession and appears regularly before courts, civil and criminal matters, for the chambers. She has been dealing with civil, commercial, banking, human rights, and constitutional matters. Nipun takes a keen interest in human rights issues and is involved with a number of charities providing legal aid.
